Kicking and screaming

Yes, it's true. We've finally been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century: we're starting a (shudder) blog. Mostly as a way of keeping friends, family and internet stalkers up to date on what we're doing as we travel the wilds and not-so-wilds of North America.

I've been inspired by the incredible literary musings of #1 offspring, A Letter to Xander and The UnMom. In no way is my blog likely to be as world class hilarious as hers, but, hey, it'll be different. And all mine.

I'm looking forward to sitting down at my computer at the end of a demanding day in, oh, let's say Saguaro National Park, tuning in to CBC, and doing a little power blogging. Or maybe not so power, just nattering about hummingbirds, petroglyphs, roadrunners...you know, regular stuff for the American southwest. (I'm avoiding saying Arizona because I really don't want to be chucked into the Lily-white-Canuck-snowbird bucket).
